If there is a malfunction in the air filter indicator, it loses its indicating function.

Therefore, regular maintenance of the air filter indicator should be carried out using the following two methods.

(1) Remove and inspect. Remove the indicator and suck the air inside the indicator connector with your mouth. When the air filter indicator red light on the dashboard flashes and the buzzer sounds, it indicates good indicator performance.

(2) On vehicle inspection. When the engine speed increases, block the inlet of the air filter with a cover plate, causing a large vacuum to be generated in the intake pipe. At this time, if the red indicator light of the air filter flashes and the buzzer sounds, it indicates that the indicator performance is good; Otherwise, it indicates that the intake pipe is leaking or the indicator is damaged. During this inspection, special attention should be paid to not allow blocked covers or other blocking substances to suck into the intake duct. When the indicator malfunctions (usually due to a damaged rubber sleeve), it should be replaced with a new one in a timely manner.
