Check Generator Cooling Water Circulation System
Some generators are backup power sources. If the main power supply is normal, the generator will not operate. In order to prevent standby generators from failing due to long-term shelving, please maintain daily maintenance, which can avoid failures during work and is cost-effective.
Failure of the generator cooling system can lead to poor cooling performance, high water temperature, and generator shutdown. It can also lead to radiator leakage, water level drop, and generator failure to work properly.
There are 5 reasons for the coolant non-circulation as follows:
The radiator fins are blocked or damaged. It can cause the cooling fan to not work, make the temperature of the coolant unable to decrease, rust the cooling fins, and cause liquid leakage and poor circulation.
The coolant level is too low or does not meet requirements. If the fluid level is too low, it will directly cause the temperature of the coolant to rise, making it impossible for the coolant to circulate. The coolant shall be 50% antifreeze+50% softened water+DCA4 as specified. If it does not comply with the regulations, it may cause pipe blockage and corrosion of the pipe wall. This prevents the coolant from circulating properly. Before starting the generator, carefully check whether the coolant meets the requirements and check for leaks.
