Function of oil pump
The functions of automobile oil pump are as follows:
1.The oil in the oil pan is pressurized and pumped to the oil filter and lubricating oil passages to lubricate the main moving parts of the engine and filter the oil. When the engine is working, the oil pump keeps working, so that the oil keeps circulating in the lubricating oil circuit.
2.Because the speed of the oil pump is proportional to the engine speed, the oil supply capacity of the oil pump is the worst at low speed. The oil pump used in automobile engine usually adopts gear type and rotor type. The working principle of these two types of oil pumps is the same. Both use volume change to make low pressure oil become high pressure oil, so they are also called positive displacement oil pumps. It is characterized by simple structure, reliable operation and convenient manufacturing and repair.
3.Use automobile oil pump to extract oil. A pump is a machine that transports or pressurizes liquid. It transmits the mechanical energy or other external energy of the prime mover to the liquid and increases the energy of the liquid. The pump is mainly used to transport water, oil, acid-base liquid, emulsion, suspended lotion, liquid metal and other liquids, as well as liquid, gas mixture and liquid containing suspended solids.
