Inspection method for various valve components of engine
1.Check method of check valve
The simplest way to judge whether it is good or bad is to put it in the mouth to blow/suck, and it is normal if only one side can pass.
2.EGR valve inspection method
Disconnect one of the cooler coolant inlet or outlet connector and the EGR valve coolant pipe connector, connect and fix a pressure regulating air supply hose on the disconnected coolant pipe, put the EGR cooler into the hot water tank, the EGR cooler must be completely immersed in water, apply a certain amount of air pressure, check whether there are bubbles emerging from the cooler, and verify that the bubbles are not caused by loose pipe joints or residual air, If the EGR cooler leaks, it must be replaced.
Due to the serious carbon deposition, the internal valve core can not function normally, resulting in the failure of EGR valve, causing the vehicle idling instability, power decline, easy to stall and other faults.
3.PCV valve inspection method
○ This valve is mostly a one-way valve (also integrated). The opening of the valve body is controlled according to the vacuum degree at the intake manifold side (the greater the vacuum degree, the smaller the opening of the valve body). Check whether the PCV valve is good or bad by 1. Clamp the pipeline between the PCV valve and the vacuum source at idle speed. It is normal if the engine speed drops within 50 r/min or higher. Otherwise, check whether the PCV valve and pipeline are blocked, and clean or replace them if necessary.
○ Run the engine at idle speed and pull the PCV valve off the valve cover. If you can hear a "hissing" sound after pulling it out, put your finger on the air inlet of the PCV valve and feel a strong vacuum suction, it is normal.
○ Install the PCV valve and remove the oil port cap. When the engine is idling, place a piece of hard paper gently at the oil port. It is normal for the paper to be adsorbed at the oil port within 60s.
4.Solenoid valve inspection method
Generally speaking, whether the solenoid valve is good or bad (whether it is stuck) can be directly powered on, and the action of the valve body can be felt with your fingers.
