Precautions Of Internal Combustion Engine Coolant
The diesel generator coolant has the function of providing sufficient heat transfer capacity, preventing corrosion of all metal materials in the cooling system, and providing sufficient antifreeze protection. It solves the problems of poor cooling of diesel generator and high temperature of parts, thus ensuring the performance. There are the following precautions when using the generator.
1.Don't start without cooling water
Due to environmental factors (there is no water source or the water source is far away), some users often start first and then add water, and the generator is in emergency. This method is very harmful to the generator. After the dry start, due to the lack of cooling water, the components of the generator quickly warmed up, especially the temperature of the cylinder head and water jacket outside the fuel injector of the diesel engine was extremely high. If cooling water is added, it is easy to crack or deform due to sudden cooling, thus affecting the service life of diesel generator set.
2.Don't use hard water
Hard water mainly refers to well water, spring water and tap water. The mineral content in hard water is very high. These minerals are easy to deposit on the radiator wall, water jacket and water channel wall during heating, forming scale and rust, making the heat dissipation capacity of the unit worse. Easy to cause overheating, please choose clean soft water. Soft water usually includes rainwater, snow water and river water. These waters contain less minerals and are suitable for the use of unit engines.
