Tractor Problems and Solutions

As a star machine in the farm, the tractor provides you with the power and versatility required to perform various agricultural and landscaping tasks. However, in order to keep the tractor in good working condition, regular maintenance is required. Over time, you may find that your tractor has some specific problems that need to be solved in time to avoid costly and time-consuming maintenance on the road.

Problem 1:Dull Blades

The blade is a common tool on tractors. Whether you are working in the field, turning the soil or mowing the lawn, you should give priority to using sharp blades. You may need to sharpen the blade of the tractor at least twice a year. If you often cut grass or cut a lot, you may need to sharpen more.

Small tractors equipped with a single-blade mowing platform only need to use a file to remove and sharpen the blade. Larger tractors and larger blades may require the help of machinists to sharpen them. However, you do not need sharp blades to complete your work; Simply smooth the edges. The actual cutting force of the tractor mostly comes from the strength of rotation rather than the sharpness of the blade, but the sharper blade will bring more professional effects.

Problem 2:Fuel System Issues

If the tractor's performance begins to decline over time, the fuel system may fail. Low fuel pressure is a common effect of fuel system problems, resulting in the loss of function and power of the machine. The implement you are trying to use cannot work, and your tractor may not even be able to move.

Check the fuel control level of the engine to see if it is blocked so that the engine cannot receive any fuel. You can spray some lubricant on it to make it move again. More serious fuel system problems require the help of professionals.

Problem 3:Electrical System Difficulties

When there is a problem with your electrical system, the battery on the tractor is the most likely problem. When you notice an electrical problem, make sure to always use the battery tester to check whether the battery is charged. If you store or leave the tractor idle for more than a week, your main problem may be that the battery is exhausted and needs recharging or replacement.

Check the terminals and cables for hard shell material deposits or worn wires. Clean battery terminals as part of routine maintenance. If you find that the battery itself is normal, you may need to ask a professional to check your tractor.

Problem 4:Engine Trouble

Notice that a slow engine is difficult to start? The tractor engine may have many problems, which is why it is very important to keep good maintenance. The tractor spark plug may be very sensitive and easily damaged, so please check it regularly and replace it as necessary. If you notice that the fuel consumption is low, the power is insufficient or the starting is difficult, then the spark plug may be the cause.
