Relationship between oil seal and mechanical seal
1.Sealing method: The shaft seal is sealed by pressing two or more smooth ceramic pieces with spring force; The purpose of the oil seal can only be achieved through close contact between the ring body and the sealing surface.
2.Function: The shaft seal prevents high-pressure liquid from leaking out of the pump along the shaft or external air from penetrating along the shaft; The function of the oil seal is to isolate the oil chamber from the outside, seal oil internally, and seal dust externally.
3.Sealing position: Shaft seal refers to the steam seal at the end of the pump shaft and the seal between the rotating pump shaft and the fixed pump casing; Oil seal refers to the sealing of lubricating oil, commonly used in various mechanical bearings, especially rolling bearings.
Shaft seals and oil seals are two types of seals with different performance and should not be confused.
